To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:12-13).
"The Bible teaches us that as believers, we belong to a 'spiritual body,' with Christ as the head of that body, (1 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 5:23). As with the human body, every member is essential to the health of the body, so it is with the Church. Being connected in the body of Christ means to give life, one to another, (Ephesians 4:15,16). It may seem that what we, as individuals, supply to this fellowship is very little, or even inadequate, but in reality, ever member is a vital life giving entity, within God's divine plan. As each member is vital to the body, so the body is vital to each member. None of us can go it alone, we need to stay connected, for the necessary support, instruction, and encouragement we all so desperately need. 'Pride' is often the true reason many believers remain disconnected in the church, and pride is the prerequisite to a fall, (Proverbs 16:18)". - Pastor Al
