Discipleship Ministries
Equipping Believers to Grow in their Faith and to Invest their Lives in Other People
The Apostle Paul writes in Colossians 2:6-7, "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." These words penned by Paul, echo the vision and desire of the Discipleship Ministries at Calvary Worship Center. We desire to see all believers grow to maturity and, in turn, to minister to others.
The varying aspects of our ministry are designed to meet you wherever you are at in your relationship with Christ:
Follow-up and Foundations
For Christians who have recently trusted Christ as their Lord and Savior, we provide two opportunities to grow strong roots in their new life in Christ. First, is providing the opportunity for you to receive personal follow-up from a mature man or woman in our church. Their desire is to meet with you on a regular basis to answer your questions and give you some key training on some of the foundational truths of the Christian life. If you would like someone to spend this kind of time with you, or you would like to help a young believer mature in their faith, please contact us.
Second, we offer our Foundations Classes. The first class (101) is four weeks on the basics of the Christian life. Our second class (201) is an 8 week class designed to give in-depth teaching on different topics such as Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Church and the Bible. This overview will provide you with some valuable teaching to enable you to begin being built up in your newfound faith in Christ.

One-to-One Mentoring
For Christians who have been walking with the Lord for over a year and want to go deeper in their faith, we provide mature men and women in the church to help you take the next step.
These men and women desire,
not only to help you be strengthened in your faith, but also to equip you to invest your life in others. This is what the Apostle Paul challenged Timothy with in II Timothy 2:2. Paul writes, "And the things you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."
Do you desire to grow deep but know you need someone to challenge and encourage you along the way? This ministry is for you.
Biblical Counseling
Are there areas in your life where you feel like it is a continual struggle and you can’t find victory? This is where biblical counseling comes in. Our counseling consists of lovingly confronting people from the Scriptures out of a deep concern for the person in order to help them make changes that God desires for them to live the abundant life that He desires.
Biblical counseling at Calvary Worship Center is done by our pastoral staff and trained lay leaders who are convinced that God is able to make the changes that are necessary in a person’s life as His Word is ministered in the power of the Spirit and applied by the person who has come to the church for counseling.
